IMPORTANT UPDATE
On Monday, May 12, at 2.28 p.m. Beijing time (6:28 GMT), a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province, central China. The quake could be felt clearly in Xi'an City, 400 miles from the epicenter. Employees of CHNG who were working at the point of time were evacuated immediately. There was no damage to company properties.
Due to the abrupt earthquake, we moved our headquarter temporally to an open space outside the office building. After all employees were found safe and sound, we then have our management team in supervision 24 hours a day to maintain the normal business course, especially to assure the operation and safety of company-owned CNG filling stations, and contributed to a prompt recover of order in Xi'an City.
During the emergency, Mr.Qinan Ji, our Chairman and CEO, has been working day and night at the temporary headquarter and sacrificed the time that would have been spent with his sick mother in the hospital. CHNG's timely reaction and ability to steer the company stably and smoothly through the emergency deeply impressed the company-visiting guests from overseas.
